　　　　On January 14, 2022, the agreement for future commercial vehicle joint innovation research center was signed by Shanghai Jiaotong University, Weichai Power and Sinotruk in Jinan. Lin Zhongqin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Huang Zhen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of the Smart Energy Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Tan Xuguang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group attended the event and witnessed the signing ceremony.

　　Lin Zhongqin said that Shanghai Jiaotong University, Weichai Power and Sinotruk have always maintained a good relationship for cooperation. He hoped that through the future commercial vehicle joint innovation research center, the scientific research achievements of universities will be widely used in industrial practice and make greater contributions to the development of China's commercial vehicle industry.

　　Tan Xuguang hoped that the three parties could create a new benchmark for industry-university-institute cooperation, give full play to their respective advantages, make great effort to break through the key core technologies, and make a series of leading independent intellectual property achievements to promote the establishment of China's global leading commercial vehicles and powertrain systems.
