Toyota presents the new GR Yaris at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. Since the model's launch in 2020, more than 18,000 GR Yaris have been sold in Europe, with a customer satisfaction rate of 99%.

The model in Toyota's GR range benefits from a number of optimizations that further enhance its sportiness.

Its 3-cylinder engine, already the most powerful in its class, gains 19 hp, to 280 hp, and 30 Nm of torque, to 390 Nm.

The GR Yaris can now be fitted with an ultra-fast 8-speed automatic transmission.
For even more efficient handling, the bodywork and suspension have been strengthened.

' Toyota Gazoo Racing's engineers, test drivers and racing and rallying professionals have worked together in a spirit of constant improvement to enrich the fundamental character of the GR Yaris, a 'driver-first' car, a car that offers an ever more exciting experience the moment you take the wheel and start the engine' says the group.

Chief Engineer Naohiko Saito said: 'Every aspect of the new GR Yaris incorporates know-how and expertise drawn from real-life racing situations and feedback from our racing drivers.

The new GR Yaris will go on sale in France in spring 2024.
