Toyota Motor Corporation has launched its Camry Hybrid in India on 18 January 2019. The model is based on the automaker's recently developed TNGA-K (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, which is also shared by its luxury division, Lexus. The vehicle features a large front bumper with horizontal slats, a sleeker headlamp cluster, a lower nose and interiors with the centre tunnel in a 'Y-shaped' casing, which houses an eight-inch infotainment system, connected to a nine-speaker JBL Dolby audio system, a memory function for the driver seat, a rear armrest with a capacitive touchscreen, three-zone climate control and a leather-trimmed steering wheel, with audio and cruise controls mounted on it. It is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled with an 88 kW electric motor.
