Toyota Motor Europe (TME) sold 1,173,419 Toyota and Lexus vehicles in 2023, up 9% year-on-year, giving it a market share of 6.7%.

During this period, sales of electrified vehicles rose by 14%, so that they now account for 70% of total volume.

Lexus sales rose by 46% year-on-year, making it one of the fastest-growing premium brands in Europe, while the Toyota brand retained second place in passenger car sales in the region.

' As part of our multi-technology strategy, we have launched a number of low- and zero-emission electrified vehicles to offer our customers the solution that best meets their needs. These include the new Toyota C-HR and Lexus LBX, which will further boost sales in 2024', said Yoshihiro Nakata, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe.

The brand's sales momentum is set to continue in 2024, as deliveries of the new Toyota C-HR begin in the first quarter of 2024.
