Helmer, Inc. acquired plasma freezer, thawer product line from ThermoGenesis Corp. (NasdaqCM:KOOL) in cash during the quarter ending December 31, 2012. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund market development programs for the ThermoGenesis' cord blood and bone marrow stem cell processing and storage offerings, to reduce some operating costs and free up internal resources.
