Thales announced on Wednesday the signing of three agreements with Ukrainian industry in the fields of electronic warfare, tactical communications, air defense systems, radars and drones, during the Eurosatory trade show.

In a press release, the group explained that the aim of these agreements, signed under the aegis of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industries, is to "reinforce the operational support of the Ukrainian armed forces on the front line and consolidate local defense capabilities".

According to the Thales press release, the first agreement concerns the creation of a Franco-Ukrainian joint venture dedicated to the delivery and operation of equipment. The second agreement covers training, testing and maintenance requirements for electronic warfare.

The third agreement, signed with the Ukrainian group etrobots FRDM, aims to develop and manufacture a drone system for transporting and dropping munitions.
