Taylor Wimpey : Alex and Abi start family in new home

A couple from St Michaelsmoved into their dream home at our Three Fields development in Tenterden just in time for the arrival of their first child. Alex Jones and his partner Abi Ireland moved into their brand new four bedroom house in July and welcomed their baby girl, Eloise on the very same day.

Alex, who runs an audio visual and home automation business, Potters Home Digital, and Abi who is a Regional Business Development Manager, are now well settled in their new home and getting used to their lives as new parents. Alex says: 'We were really looking forward to moving to Three Fields and having some time to unpack and get ready for our new arrival but she came a little earlier than expected!'

The couple had previously been living in a two bedroom cottage in nearby St Michaels and needed to move to a bigger home in readiness for becoming a family of three. They were impressed with the Three Fields development and were able to take a step up the property ladder thanks to the Government backed Help to Buy scheme. Alex says: 'Without Help to Buy I don't think we would have been able to upgrade to a four bedroom house. We had our old property to sell but because we only needed a small deposit we were able to secure a much bigger home than we would have been able to afford otherwise.'

The couple knew they wanted to move to Tenterden to be close to Alex's business which is based in the town. They fell in love with the Forstal house type at Three Fields as soon as they saw it and haven't looked back since. Alex and Abi are particularly pleased with how the layout of their new home suits their current lifestyle. Alex said: 'We have more space for visitors and the open plan kitchen and dining area is ideal for when we're entertaining family and friends. We also love the frontage of the house with its double bay windows, its looks really well presented.'

As well as being close to Alex's business, the family's new home is also perfectly placed for easy access to a range of shops, schools and community facilities. Alex believes that the new homes at Three Fields will benefit the local community and businesses like his own. He says: 'With Three Fields being so close to the centre of Tenterden, I think residents will regularly make use of the local facilities which will help the town to thrive.'

Alex and Abi have been delighted with customer service they've received from our local team. 'The sales executives have been absolutely fantastic,' says Alex. 'As well as helping us with the entire buying and moving process, they have also helped to spread the word about my company to other residents and visitors. I've seen an increase in enquiries and it's had a really positive impact on business. Abi and I are loving our new lives as parents and have found our forever home atThree Fields.'
