Tata Motors Limited will discontinue the Vista D90, replacing it with the newly launched Vista VXTech. The Vista D90 has been launched in 2013 with a more powerful engine that offered a sporty ride, but was priced higher and did not bring in the expected volumes. The new VistaVXTech has been loaded with features earlier available only on the D90.

It has also made some upgrades. All the features on the D90 are now available in the new VistaVXTech, barring the powerful 90 PS power engine that makes the Vista VXTech's price lower by almost INR 0.1 million while delivering higher fuel efficiency. Instead, the VistaVXTech gets a new 75 PS BSIV Quadrajet engine.

The new car is targeted at those wanting latest technology like a GPS navigation system, steering wheel-mounted controls and Blue 5 technology. The D90 had a fuel efficiency of 21.1 kmpl and was in the INR 0.6 million to INR 0.683 million range while the Vista Tech has a fuel efficiency of 22.3 kmpl and is priced at INR 0.494 million to INR 0.599 million.
