STMicroelectronics is announcing a new organization to take effect on February 5, with the move from three to two product groups to 'reinforce innovation and efficiency in product development and time-to-market'.

These two new product groups, APMS (analog products, discrete and power products, MEMS and sensors) and MDRF (microcontrollers, digital integrated circuits and RF products), will be headed by Marco Cassis and Rémi El-Ouazzane respectively.

To complement the current sales and marketing organization headed by Jérôme Roux, a new marketing organization dedicated to applications by end market will be set up in all the semiconductor manufacturer's regions.

This new organization will cover four end markets: automotive, energy-power for industry, industrial automation-IoT-IA, and personal electronics-communications equipment-computer peripherals.
