Sber's Platform V-powered digital transformation project won in the special category "Biggest Digital Transformation Project for Banks" in the Project of the Year 2021 competition organized by Global CIO, the professional community of digital transformation leaders. The annual awards ceremony was held on January 26 in Moscow.

Thanks to a major IT transformation powered by Platform V, a cloud-based platform for business solutions, Sber has managed to reduce time-to-market by a factor of seven, as well as halving transaction costs. The cloud platform serves over 70% of the IT landscape of Sber ecosystem companies, handling data processing for over 100 million clients.

David Rafalovsky, CTO of Sberbank Group, executive vice president:

"Platform V, which has become a high-tech base for further development, has opened up new opportunities for Sber to innovate and digitalize its business. An immense amount of work has been done over a number of years to migrate the IT landscape of Sber and its ecosystem companies to a single platform, enabling numerous processes to be automated and scaled up. Platform V currently provides the necessary development environment, components, and tools for the rapid creation and easy scaling of enterprise applications for the entire market."

Global CIO's annual Project of the Year award is one of the biggest events in the Russian IT industry. IT directors and business leaders present the most successful projects implemented over the past year. This year, 339 projects were entered in the competition. Traditionally, there is no panel of judges in the competition - IT managers vote for the best projects.
