Safran: easyJet orders more than 300 engines for its fleet

Today's order reinforces Safran's successful 25-year partnership with easyJet. The airline currently operates 257 CFM56-5B-powered Airbus A320ceos and 69 LEAP-1A-powered A320neos.
'This agreement for more than 300 engines will bring significant environmental benefits through significantly improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise,' said easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren.
It will also enable easyJet to continue to assert its leading position at major European airports. easyJet has a long-standing relationship with CFM, and looks forward to continuing this partnership in the years to come', he added.
