To better protect consumers, PostNL is introducing the anti-phishing code. This is a code you come up with yourself that appears in every email from PostNL.

Consumers can add a self-conceived word or short phrase to their PostNL account. This could be anything: the name of a pet, a favorite dish, a vacation destination or a fun memory. They then see this word or phrase at the top of every mail from PostNL. This makes it easy for them to recognize that the mail is really from PostNL, and therefore reliable.

Phishing is a form of digital fraud. Criminals try to gain access to confidential information with fake e-mails and fake text messages. The fake messages seem increasingly real. This may also cause consumers to doubt PostNL's messages.
