On Tuesday, Orange announced the launch of a cybersecurity offer for private individuals in France, continuing its development strategy in this field.

This offer, dubbed 'Orange Cybersecure' and to be launched on Thursday, provides protection against Internet and telephone fraud by analyzing the reliability of calls, e-mails or SMS received on a daily basis.

On the Cybersecure portal, any user, regardless of operator, will be able to check the legitimacy of a site, link, email or text message that may seem suspicious, free of charge, by simply copying and pasting it.

For Orange and Sosh customers, the operator plans to offer a more comprehensive package, but at a cost of seven euros per month with no commitment.

Subscribers will be able to secure up to 10 devices in their household (computers, mobiles, tablets) against malicious messages, Internet scams, viruses, fraudulent sites or identity theft.

This offer illustrates Orange's recent offensive in IT security.

With sales of one billion euros and +4% growth each year, its subsidiary Orange Cyberdefense has become a major and recognized player in cybersecurity worldwide, with more than 9,000 major companies placing their trust in the company.

Orange - which wishes to consolidate its cyber offering for the corporate and consumer markets in all its European and African markets around Orange Cyberdefense - plans to gradually launch the service in Europe.
