HOMI, the big Fiera Milano project born out of the consolidated Italian tradition of living well, which will showcase new intuition in design and beauty for the home and the person, inaugurates its first edition at Fiera Milano in Rho from 19 to 22 January 2014.

1,500 companies, 80,000 square metres and ten big worlds: Living Habits, Home Wellness, Fragrances & Personal Care, Fashion & Jewels, Gifts & Events, Garden & Outdoor, Kid Style, Home Textiles, Hobby & Work. The home and the store become the key settings where current trends are showcased and future ones are set and where multi-culturalism and hybridisation become bywords.

The big players at this great "debut" are above all the companies, the hard-working representatives of Italy and inspiration for HOMI, creators of excellence, once again ready to enthusiastically embrace new ideas: they include ALLUFLON, BORMIOLI ROCCO, LAGOSTINA, SAMBONET, SELETTI, plus TUUM, AIROLDI, TECHNOGYM and ZUCCHI - to name just a few of the best known.

In order to establish itself as a strategic partner for Italian companies, HOMI has signed agreements with Sistema Moda Italia, which represents the Italian textile and fashion industry, with the intention of endorsing the sector and relative companies and with the Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers, involved in promoting the value of the sales point thanks to its members, qualified stores identified by the registered brand name The Best Shops.

But HOMI is not only an exhibition; it is also a series of parallel events and meetings. These include La Magnifica Forma, a display of 28 articles by 12 creative designers produced by big Italian companies and "New consumer experiences for new lifestyles" (10.30 am on 20 January). This conference is organised with support from POPAI ITALIA, the Global Association for marketing at retail, to open a window onto new promotion strategies for Made in Italy in international retail.

This event will be on line, both "live" thanks to HOMI live, the Web TV in collaboration with IULM University in Milan and on the net thanks to HOMI+, the great opportunity for doing business on line. HOMI+ will run for eight weeks, starting on 3 February 2014.
