SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) _ Limelight Networks Inc. (LLNW) on Thursday reported a loss of $7.7 million in its fourth quarter.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and severance costs, were 2 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 1 cent per share.

The network services company posted revenue of $62.9 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $62.4 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $57.1 million, or 45 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $217.6 million.

Limelight Networks expects full-year results to range from a loss of 6 cents per share to a loss of 1 cent per share, with revenue in the range of $240 million to $250 million.
