The project, awarded in lot 07 of the transmission auction held in February 2019, is essential for the integration of renewable sources to the National Interconnected System (SIN), and will allow the installation of new biomass energy generation projects, due to the expansion of the sugar and ethanol sector in the state, besides ensuring more reliability in the energy supply to the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba regions.
ANEEL investment is estimated at R$ 544 million and the Annual Permitted Revenue (RAP) amounts to around R$ 34 million. The regulator's estimated schedule for completion is March 2023.
"We are pleased to contribute to the social and economic development in Minas Gerais and to the expansion of the National Interconnected System (SIN). We seek excellence in performing our activities and this project is in line with our strategy of robustness, growth, and sustainable value generation for society," says Rui Chammas, ISA CTEEP's CEO.
The project will use local labor during its entire construction period, with 1,107 professionals expected to be hired.
