Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A) is in advanced talks to acquire the Indian fund management platform of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE:AIG), a person with direct knowledge of the deal said. Financial terms were not disclosed. Both AIG and Brookfield declined to comment.
