British American Tobacco (BAT) will build a HUF 9 billion plant in Pecs (SW Hungary). BAT's existing plant in Pecs will continue to operate. Output at the base in Pecs will double, making it Europe's second-biggest cigarette manufacturer.
Production at the new plant will start in fourth quarter of 2014. About 90% of output will be exported.
