Bio-Techne announced the launch of the CE-SDS PLUS system for its ProteinSimple-branded Maurice™ platform. This new system further expands the usability of Maurice's proprietary cartridge and reduces undesirable protein fragmentation during separation. Since its introduction in 2016, Maurice has enabled capillary electrophoresis - sodium dodecyl sulfate (CE-SDS) for size-based separation across a broad range of molecules. The CE-SDS PLUS system includes a new cartridge, a novel sample buffer, and a new version of 'Compass for iCE' software. These advances will enable researchers to obtain superior data consistency, significantly increased injection number per cartridge, and a more accurate analysis of proteins susceptible to fragmentation. In addition, the gold-standard, 'whole-column' imaging technology Maurice employs is augmented with an additional fluorescence filter for broader applications in charge heterogeneity analysis.
