BASF has signed an agreement to sell its flocculants business (a substance that causes the progressive aggregation of suspended matter in liquids to facilitate separation) to Solenis, a global specialist in specialty chemicals.

Scheduled for the second half of 2024, subject to regulatory approval, this transaction is intended to strengthen the future development of products for mining applications.

By transferring this activity to Solenis, BASF will be able to concentrate more on the development of its flotation reagents and other innovative solutions in extraction and leaching.
