New high performance sealant with exceptional unprimed adhesion, saving material and labor

SHAKOPEE, MN, January 21, 2014 -- BASF today launched MasterSeal® NP 100 joint sealant in North America. The new construction sealant continues BASF's innovation within its MasterBuilders Solutions® portfolio. MasterSeal NP 100 is a hybrid sealant specially formulated utilizing polymers created through BASF's chemistry expertise.

"MasterSeal NP 100 sealant is the latest product innovation in a premier line of sealant technology from BASF," stated Jason Pitcole, Regional Business Segment Manager of Sealants and Waterproofing for BASF. "This new sealant is the most versatile in the industry, with strong, primerless adhesion to the broadest range of substrates. This allows contractors to utilize one sealant for their entire project without the need to switch between sealants or remember which substrates require a primer application."

MasterSeal NP 100 is designed to help contractors save time and money by eliminating extra labor and material. In addition to the exceptional adhesion, the product's color retention and long term durability from weathering eliminate costly call backs for repairs and ensure the application lasts and looks good for a long time. MasterSeal NP 100 will be available in 13 colors to match the most common shades of building materials.
