BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON CORPORATION (THE) BNY Mellon was named the top trustee for high-yield bond issues in 2015, as reported this week by Prospect News. BNY Mellon had been ranked fourth in 2014.
Kathleen Scott, head of BNY Mellon's corporate and insurance business in the Corporate Trust group, noted her group's market share improved to 31 percent from 13 percent in the prior year and attributed the gain to process improvements the group began implementing three years ago.
'Our international capabilities also appear to be valued by clients with local and cross-border requirements,' she said. 'The financial strength of our institution demonstrates our ability to be a committed service partner throughout the lifetime of our clients' transactions.'
For the 2015, BNY Mellon was appointed trustee to more than $80 billion in high-yield bonds in 89 tranches.
