The JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer mission) satellite, built by Airbus, will shortly leave Toulouse for Kourou, French Guiana, for lift-off aboard an Ariane 5 in April 2023.

The spacecraft has been at Airbus in Toulouse since August 2021 for final assembly and testing. This included integrating the latest instrument units and the largest solar panels ever flown on a planetary exploration mission, needed to power the mission 740 million kilometers from the Sun.

It has been an incredible adventure, involving over 80 companies across Europe, to bring to life ESA's mission to study Jupiter and its icy moons in minute detail," said Cyril Cavel, JUICE project manager at Airbus Defence and Space.
