Frankfurt (Reuters) - According to calculations by banks and brokerage houses, the Dax will start lower on Tuesday.

On Monday, it ended trading 0.1 percent lower at 17,716 points. In the previous week, the leading German index had rushed from record high to record high.

In the corporate sector, the focus on Tuesday will be on Bayer's Capital Markets Day. CEO Bill Anderson will present his plans for the future of the Leverkusen-based pharmaceutical and agricultural group to investors. In the evening, Deutsche Börse will decide on the future composition of the Dax. Lufthansa, a candidate for promotion, could have a difficult time in the race for a place in the top stock market league, as Zalando, which could be relegated, made up ground in terms of share price in February.

Investors could also pay attention to important political events. In the US presidential primaries, the most important highlight of the year so far is "Super Tuesday". In China, the National People's Congress - the annual parliamentary session of the communist-ruled state - has begun. Beijing has announced that it is aiming for economic growth of around five percent this year, the same as last year.
