The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Thursday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed. The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.3354 to the greenback, or 74.88 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3318 to 1.3361. Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 6 basis points to 3.222%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 3.9931%. U.S. February crude futures rose 68 cents to $73.38 a barrel on Thursday.
