The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed. The loonie was trading 0% higher at C$1.35 to the greenback, or 74.07 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3496 to 1.3528. Canadian government 10-year bond yields rose 0.3 basis points to 3.467%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.2481%. U.S. April crude futures fell 15 cents to $76.34 a barrel on Monday.
