Chung Hwa Chemical Industrial Works, Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 434.59 million compared to TWD 583.56 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 7.37 million compared to net loss of TWD 9.36 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.05 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.09 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.05 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.09 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 1,299.07 million compared to TWD 1,740.41 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 52.57 million compared to TWD 64 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.48 compared to TWD 0.59 a year ago.
Chung Hwa Chemical Industrial Works Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the processing, production and sales of chemical products. The Company mainly provides basic and acidic chemicals, specialty chemicals and electronic chemicals. The basic and acidic chemicals include the sulphuric acid, nicotinic acid, diluted acid, chlorosulfonic acid, aluminium sulfate, refined sulphuric acid, sodium silicate, phosphates and other inorganic chemical products. The specialty chemicals include dyes, pigment intermediates and color developing agents, as well as chemical fiber modified products. The electronic chemicals mainly include electronic grade sulfuric acid and conductive polymer materials.
