NORWALK, Conn. -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) today announced the appointment of as chief information officer.  She has also been elected a vice president of the corporation.
Zierhoffer, 51, will be responsiblethe planning, alignment, governancedelivery of the IT infrastructurethe company.  She joins Xerox from ITT Corporation where she served as vice presidentglobal information officer.  Previously, Zierhoffer spent 20 years in senior executive roles at Northrop Grumman Corporation.
Zierhoffer received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of BusinessEconomics at the University of New Hampshirea master's degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass.
Zierhoffer, whose appointment is effective immediately, succeeds as CIO.  McDermott has been named head of strategybusiness process architectureXerox's technology business.
