New partners, MachineShop and Arynga, will help anchor new solutions for Advanced Vehicle Management Systems
Waltham MA and Las Vegas, NV (Consumer Electronics Show), 7 January 2013: Xchanging, the business process, procurement and technology services provider and integrator, today announces a Vehicle Management Services (VMS) offering called Xenia, and two new strategic partners, MachineShop and Arynga, who are an integral part of the new program.
Xchanging's Xenia offering addresses the emerging market opportunity created by the wide range of onboard systems and applications in today's connected vehicle, as well as the basic need for creating and managing wireless connectivity itself.
Automobile manufacturers and the automotive ecosystem face increasing complexity and challenges with applications, content, vehicle monitoring and infotainment systems that are an integral part of today's cars and commercial fleets. Xchanging will provide the entire ecosystem, a set of services including consulting, system design, development, connectivity platforms, systems integration and management.
"Xchanging is excited to be one of the first global service providers to offer comprehensive solutions for onboard and cloud based systems that are becoming pervasive in today's automotive market" said David Carpini, President of Xchanging Solutions (USA). "Xenia is just one pillar of our new strategy around the 'Internet of every Thing.' We bring an extensive set of application development and integration services for complex solutions to support the Xenia offering. One of our initial areas of focus will be to help manufacturers and OEMs manage over-the-air software updates that are as
much a part of vehicle maintenance as oil changes." Mr Carpini continued. "That's why Xchanging is working with Arynga, a pioneer in onboard software management, who have pioneered CarSync™ which enables remote configuration management of firmware, embedded software, and applications in the car. Xchanging will work with leaders in the auto industry to help them develop secure web-based systems for remote vehicle management, including software updates, vehicle status, configuration management and reporting and analytics capabilities."
Walter J. Buga, CEO of Arynga, commented, "We are at the beginning of an exciting new era of vehicle connectivity which will ultimately involve hundreds of systems and applications in each vehicle, and the network effect of their interactions with other consumer devices and even social networks. These new capabilities come with much complexity and many challenges. Arynga is excited about partnering with Xchanging, a global solution provider, to leverage technologies from Arynga and MachineShop."
Machineshop is a next generation middleware company focused on the 'Internet of every Thing' specifically the convergence of information technology and real world operations technology. MachineShop creates, aggregates and manages hundreds of cloud-based API services that make it possible for machines and systems to speak the same language as applications and their developers. Arynga and Xchanging will leverage these services to simplify the way automotive manufacturers and their partners connect and integrate their various software technologies. "
