Europe's main stock markets were in the red at the start of trading on Wednesday, as investors digested a multitude of corporate earnings releases.

In Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.53% to 6,857.13 points around 07:35 GMT. In London, the FTSE 100 was down 0.15%, while in Frankfurt, the Dax was down 0.23%.

The EuroStoxx 50 index was down by 0.49%, the FTSEurofirst 300 by 0.2% and the Stoxx 600 by 0.35%.

In Paris, Worldline began trading more than half an hour late, plunging 39.82% after its financial targets for 2023 were sharply revised downwards.

Luxury goods giant Kering lost 3.04% after a third quarter below expectations.

Conversely, ASM International soared 8.19% and Deustche Bank 7.29% after their quarterly results.
