WNC to Exhibit Innovative Products Featuring Boundless Connectivity at CES 2022

Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 3, 2022-Wistron NeWeb Corp. (WNC), a leading provider of communications solutions, is unveiling its award-winning 5G Outdoor Unit (ODU), along with solutions in E2E vRAN/O-RAN, broadband communications, healthcare, and smart transportation, at CES 2022. 5G ODU
WNC's 5G ODU has won a CES 2022 Innovation Award in recognition of outstanding design and engineering. This outdoor CPE comes with a water- and dust-proof outer enclosure, provides high-speed internet connectivity, and features security mechanisms in line with cybersecurity's best practices. With its superior high-gain antenna design and RF calibration the ODU allows users to seamlessly switch between 5G and 4G services in any location.

5G E2E vRAN/O-RAN Solution
WNC has leveraged its engineering design and system integration capabilities in RF, FPGA, software, and hardware in the development of a 5G O-RAN solution. The solution consists of i-Routers, FPGA-based RUs, SmartNICs, 5G slim servers, and system management software, all of which have passed rigorous conformance tests at OTIC labs, Plugfest interoperability tests, IoT tests with different 5GCs, and SMO/EMS/RIC and M-plane tests to ensure compliance with O-RAN specifications. This product offering can be readily adopted by communications service providers for both public and private network deployment as a one-stop-shop total solution. WNC has successfully delivered its 5G O-RAN solution in 2021, and has applied this solution in an experimental 5G smart factory to achieve automation and efficiency ramp up.

WLAN Mesh Enterprise Access Point (EAP)
WNC's enterprise-grade WLAN access point adopts the latest WLAN technology to boost speeds, expand coverage, reduce latency, and prevent dropped connections for businesses with multiple connected devices. Having the smallest form factor of all next-gen WLAN access points on the market, WNC's EAP provides high-efficiency, high-performance aggregate data rates up to 3.9 Gbps and operates simultaneously across 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz bands. The product also supports UWB and BLE connectivity.

Medical IoT hub
Leveraging existing business resources, WNC has shifted up gears and entered the medical device industry with its medical IoT hub, a medical-grade portable device for healthcare applications. The device supports BLE 5.0, WLAN, and 4G and can sync with multiple compatible medical devices. It transmits medical data collected via Bluetooth to the Cloud via cellular connection, and safety and performance are assured through the ISO 13485 quality management system and IEC 60601-1 certification.

C-V2X RSU (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything Roadside Unit)
Compact in size and powered by PoE, WNC's C-V2X RSU is designed for easy deployment on lampposts. The product collects and transmits real-time traffic information related to signals, tolls, and traffic control to vehicles in order to facilitate vehicular communications. With GNSS, 5G, C-V2X and DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) supported, the RSU provides highly secure, low-latency information exchange between roadside infrastructure and vehicle systems.
