Wan Leader International Limited provided unaudited consolidated earnings guidance for the six months ended 30 September 2019. The company group is expected to record a net loss not exceeding HKD 10.1 million for the Period (as compared to a net profit of approximately HKD 0.5 million (excluding listing expenses) for the respective period in 2018. The turnaround from profit (excluding listing expenses) to loss was mainly attributable to the effects of (i) increase in the costs of air cargo space; (ii) increase in staff costs and benefits as a result of raises in basic salary and additional headcount, particularly for the Group's new subsidiary in Shenzhen, new branch office in Taipei and two new subsidiaries providing new lines of freight forwarding and related logistics services, all of which were established after the Previous Period; and (iii) legal and compliance costs, professional fees and printing charges incurred after the listing of the Company's shares on GEM.
