Waberer's announces the appointment of new Chief Operational Officer

Budapest, 26 January 2021 - WABERER'S INTERNATIONAL Nyrt. (hereinafter: Waberer's or the Company) announces the appointment of Mr. Zsolt Barna as the new Chief Operational Officer responsible for Hungary based operation of International Transportation segment - replacing Mr. Olivier Van Houtte at the position -, and change of the Hungarian terminology of Mr. Szabolcs Tóth's (CFO) position as "Gazdasági vezérigazgató-helyettes". Changes are effective from 1 February 2021.

Mr. Zsolt Barna joined Waberer's Group in 1996 and has been acting as the Managing Director of Waberer's Szemerey Kft. (hereinafter: WSZL) since 2008. Since then, the annual turnover of WSZL has grown from HUF 7 billion to HUF 50 billion and has become the clear market leader logistics service provider in Hungary. Among others, Zsolt successfully expanded the service portfolio of WSZL by complex and value-added driven logistics services, launched the container and inhouse logistics business lines, integrated Szemerey Transport Zrt. as the base of WSZL's transportation leg and launched the warehousing activity at BILK Warehouse Center that currently provides location to major part of warehousing related services.

Mr. Barna Erdélyi, CEO of Waberer's said: "During last year, as a first step of the transformation of international transportation segment, the new, so called "Trade Lane" operational model and organizational structure was introduced based on a geographically more concentrated and focused approach. The results of the new operational model fully meet the expectations of the management. To fully exploit the potentials of the newly introduced business model, we need a manager with deep logistics related experience and proven track record who is also able to harmonize the regional and international business line from operational, sales and organizational point of view.
