LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International CES, Center Hall, Booth 10404-10415 -- Audiovox Electronics Corp. (AEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation (Nasdaq:VOXX) announced today that it will be marketing, selling, and distributing 'Tagg-The Pet Tracker(TM)' to its broad retail base. The Audiovox distribution network is known for its depth and includes all of the major national and regional retailers in the nation.

Tagg-The Pet Tracker developed by Snaptracs, a Qualcomm Company, gives the consumer peace of mind by letting them know their pet's location at any time. The stylish, lightweight Tagg(TM) tracker secures to the pets existing collar and uses advanced GPS technology and wireless capabilities for tracking. "We believe that Tagg-The Pet Tracker is a natural addition to our new location based services program launching this year. Pet lovers everywhere worry about the potential loss of a pet, which can be traumatic since pets are such an intricate part of our lives and our families," said Tom Malone, President of Audiovox Electronics Corporation. "Developed by Snaptracs, a Qualcomm company, this product should provide the thousands of pet lovers nationwide with peace of mind."

Tagg is small and lightweight and designed to easily attach securely to your pet's existing collar.

It is pet tough, comfortable and water resistant. 'Tagg-The Pet Tracker' comes with a Tagg tracker, and docking station, collar clip assembly and power kit. The system supports multiple trackers so that you can track all of your pets with a single account. Service Plans are purchased directly from Snaptracs. The retail price for Tagg is to be announced later.

Malone continued, "The product will be available at retail in the first quarter of 2012 and Audiovox plans to market it though our substantial big box and regional retailer distribution partners, as well as to pet supply retailers. We believe it will be a huge success based on the millions of pet lovers in the country who will be exposed to this great product through these retailers."
