Vishay Intertechnology's IHLP® Production Line at Be'er Sheva, Israel Plant Receives Sony "Green Partner" Certification

MALVERN, Pa. - Jan. 12, 2012 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company's IHLP® production line at its Be'er Sheva, Israel plant has received Sony "Green Partner" certification through 2013. The certification recognizes that the production line for Vishay's IHLP low-profile, high-current inductors has successfully passed the program's rigorous environmental requirements, and highlights Vishay's commitment to the environment.

Launched in March 2002, Sony's "Green Partner" program requires suppliers to comply with policies that prevent and minimize hazardous environmental impact in product development and manufacturing. To become a Sony "Green Partner," suppliers must pass a series of inspections in environmental, operational, and engineering management systems before qualifying.

Inductors in Vishay's IHLP series offer high maximum frequencies and a wide range of inductance values, currents, and package sizes. The devices handle high transient current spikes without hard saturation.
