Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund announced the declaration of monthly distributions of $0.18 per common share. The following dates apply to the distributions declared: Ex-Distribution date: February 8, 2017; record date: February 10, 2017 and payable date: February 23, 2017. Ex-distribution date: March 16, 2017; record date: March 20, 2017 and payable date: March 30, 2017. Ex-distribution date: April 12, 2017; record date: April 17, 2017 and payable date: April 27, 2017.
Virtus Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund (the Fund), formerly Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund, is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to maximize total return, which consists of income and capital appreciation from investments in emerging markets securities. The Fund may invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings made for investment purposes) in emerging markets debt. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as Sovereign Hard Currency, Corporate Hard Currency, Sovereign Local Currency, and Corporate Local Currency.
