Veracyte, Inc. Announces Biopharmaceutical Collaboration with Acerta Pharma

Veracyte announced a multi-year partnership with Acerta Pharma to provide genomic information that will support the biopharmaceutical company’s development of oncology therapeutics. Financial and other terms of the collaboration were not disclosed. The agreement marks Veracyte’s first biopharmaceutical partnership since the company announced its acquisition of the exclusive diagnostics rights to the NanoString nCounter® platform and genomic tests in breast cancer and lymphoma on December 3, 2019. That transaction positions Veracyte to expand globally using a distributed platform and comprehensive menu of advanced genomic tests.
Veracyte, Inc. is a global diagnostics company. The Company enables clinicians with insights they need to guide and assure patients. The Company offers tests for thyroid cancer (Afirma), prostate cancer (Decipher Prostate), breast cancer (Prosigna), interstitial lung diseases (Envisia), and bladder cancer (Decipher Bladder). In the United States, it offers laboratory developed tests (LDTs), through its CLIA labs in South San Francisco and San Diego, California, supported by its cytopathology know-how in Austin, Texas. The Company also offers whole-genome MRD platform that enable it in early cancer diagnosis and risk assessment.
