Bidding Commission of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for the selection of banks in which pensioners and recipients can open accounts continued validity of the contract with UniCredit Bank up to January 1, 2016.

Competition Commission decided to extend the activities of banks servicing current accounts of pensioners and beneficiaries on the basis of the findings of the National Bank on financial position and performance of banks within six months of economic standards, as well as on evaluation of banks' previous pensions payment and financial assistance.

Duration of the contract was extended until 2016 with 39 banks; and with a number of banks it was extended until February or July 2015.

The National Bank of Ukraine has earlier identified UniCredit Bank as system-based important bank.
