Continually developing the functionality of e-banking service ?kio bankas has attracted an increasing number of Eta bankas users: during January-October of this year the number of Eta bankas clients surged 20 per cent year on year and approached 164 thousand. Furthermore, the list of e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas has been consistently expanded. Over ten months of this year the amount of payments effected by ?kio bankas clients at e-shops via Eta bankas jumped by 60 per cent and the turnover doubled compared to January-October 2011.

"An online shopping has already become established in Lithuania as an alternative to usual shopping. This trend not only encourages the establishment of new businesses trading and providing services exceptionally online. We can see that even those business companies that have firmly established themselves in the area of traditional trade more and more often decide to set up e-shops as an additional sales channel. With a view to offering our clients the largest possible number of options of convenient payment online we consistently expand the list of e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas," Jolita Kiau?ien?, Director of ?kio bankas Electronic Banking Department, said.

At the end of October 2012 the total number of such e-shops accepting payments via Eta bankas approached 140. The e-shops offered this year to ?kio bankas e-banking clients include www.technorama.lt, www.beta.lt, www.officeday.lt, www.ticketmarket.lt, www.masinis.lt, www.post24.lt, www.novaturas.lt, www.siuntos24.lt, and others.

In January-October of this year, as against the respective period of 2011, the number of settlements at online shops via Eta bankas augmented by 60 per cent and turnover doubled up to LTL 6.2 million.

The client service network of ?kio bankas, a provider of financial services for a third decade already, comprises over 60 units across the country. ?kio bankas payment cards are accepted at 260 ATMs of the joint network (uniting the ATMs of ?kio bankas, Danske, Citadele, Nordea and ?iauli? bankas), 36 post-offices of Lithuania and 1,400 Perlas terminals and in the near future the service will be available throughout Perlas network uniting 1,800 terminals.
