Ubisoft Entertainment SA (ENXTPA:UBI) agreed to acquire assets of THQ Montreal Inc. from THQ Inc. (OTCPK:THQI.Q) for $2.5 million on January 23, 2013. U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved the deal. In the auction, Relic Entertainment was bought by Sega Corporation for $26.6 million, Volition Inc. and Metro Franchise was bought by Koch Media GmbH for $28.2 million, Homefront franchise bought by Crytek for $0.5 million, South Park franchise bought by Ubisoft for $3.2 million, Evolve franchise bought by Take 2 for $11 million and rest of the assets are still to be sold. The deal is expected to close on January 24, 2013. This acquisition has no material impact on Ubisoft's current fiscal year 2013. Benoît Dubord, Andrea Clevens, Jonathan Auerbach and Patrick Girard of Stikeman Elliott LLP acted as legal advisor for Ubisoft.
