Explanations

Negotiations and evaluation process on a new glass fiber production plant investment, which was initiated with Germany-based PD Group and announced through the Public Disclosure Platform on March 8, 2016, on May 6, 2016 and on September 09, 2016, have ended without reaching a deal.

In accordance with the resolution taken by Şişecam Board of Directors on January 17, 2017;

It was decided to invest in glass fiber industry, which provides the main input to our Nation's flagship industries; automotive and technical textile. Accordingly, it was decided to carry out the new investment within Şişecam Group to establish a new 70K tons/year-capacity glass fiber plant with a total investment value of 400 Million TL. This new investment, is expected to become operational in the second half of 2018 and will be realized by our subsidiary Soda Sanayii A.Ş.
