Transneft' : A delegation from Algerian company Sonatrach visited Gorky OPS (oil pump station) of Transneft Upper Volga

A delegation from Algerian state oil and gas company Sonatrach visited Gorky oil pump station of Transneft Upper Volga in Nizhny Novgorod Region on January 19, 2017.

The event was conducted as part of the visit of the Algerian oil and gas company's representatives to Russia for sharing experiences and discussing areas of cooperation with Transneft and sharing experiences in the sphere of integrated development of the trunk pipelines network and other pipeline transportation facilities.

Arbi Bey Slimane, Vice President for Hydrocarbon Transportation, and specialists for oil and gas pipeline systems operation of the Algerian company showed their interest to technologies developed by Transneft subsidiaries, which have proved themselves at international markets.

The heads of Transneft Upper Volga conducted an excursion for the Sonatrach representatives, during which the lightning protection system of the tank farm of Gorky OPS was shown.

Construction and operation of oil trunk pipelines' infrastructure using effective innovative systems as regards pipelines diagnostics, protection of industrial facilities, implementation of new equipment and materials is the foreground task of the entities of Transneft system.

For the purpose of increasing reliability and securing accident-free functioning of oil and petroleum products trunk pipelines Transneft Upper Volga continuously conducts works on diagnostics, reconstruction, modernization and technical upgrading of equipment, linear portion, OPS, BPS (booster pump stations) and tank farms.
