Tieto Corporation         PRESS RELEASE         24 January 2013 at 10.00 am EET

Tieto and Kesko have signed a four-year continuation agreement on the supply of IT services. Tieto will continue as the supplier of Kesko Group's infrastructure services, such as capacity, workstation and integration services.

In addition, Tieto and Kesko have agreed to expand their cooperation on SAP services including the development of Kesko Group's SAP services and the maintenance of the main system supporting Anttila's business operations. During the agreement period, Tieto will also provide Kesko with other IT services to support its business operations, which include services related to the digitalization of business activities and offering digital services to consumers. The share of new business operations in the whole agreement is approximately one third.

"Our key objective is to centralise and intensify the production of continuous IT services, as well as to ensure the continuity and high quality of the services. Tieto's strategy and strong investments in new innovative retail solutions also played a major role in our supplier decision," says Arto Hiltunen, CIO for Kesko.

"The comprehensive agreement with Kesko strengthens our role both in the retail and SAP markets in Finland.  In addition, it gives us an opportunity to develop new kinds of services for the retail customer interface, as well as to support the internal processes of companies," says Ari Järvelä, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, Retail and Logistics for Tieto.
