The Yamanashi Chuo Bank, Ltd. (TSE:8360) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 380,000 shares, representing 1.14% of the outstanding shares for ¥646 million. The purpose of the program is to implement a flexible capital policy in response to changes in the business environment and to improve shareholder returns. The program will run until March 22, 2019. As of December 31, 2018, the company had 33,400,895 shares outstanding and 1,582,105 shares in treasury.
Yamanashi Chuo Bank Ltd is mainly engaged in the financial service business including banking business and credit card business. The Banking segment is engaged in the deposit, loan, securities trading, investment securities, domestic and foreign exchange business, as well as the over-the-counter sales of corporate bond trustee services, government bonds and other public bonds, investment trust and insurance, and the consulting business through the head office and branches. Through consolidated subsidiaries, the Bank provides credit guarantee services to complement lending operations. The others business is engaged in the leasing business, credit card business, as well as the provision of general consulting, venture capital and other banking related businesses.
