The National Security Group, Inc. is an insurance holding company. The Company, through its three wholly owned subsidiaries, operates in two industry segments: property and casualty (P&C) insurance and life insurance. The property and casualty business are operated through National Security Fire and Casualty (NSFC), and Omega One Insurance Company (Omega), which primarily write personal lines dwelling coverage, including dwelling fire and windstorm, homeowners and mobile homeowner's lines of insurance in approximately ten states. The Company's life insurance business is operated through National Security Insurance Company (NSIC), which offers a basic line of life and health and accident insurance products in approximately seven states. It also offers life, accident and health, supplemental hospital and cancer insurance products. It operates in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee.
