2012 ANNUAL MEETING OF STOCKHOLDERS
Washington, D.C., January 12, 2012 -- The Mexico Fund,
Inc. (NYSE: MXF)
announced today that it will conduct its Annual Meeting of
Stockholders on March 7,
2012, for stockholders of record as of the close of business
on February 1, 2012. The meeting will be held at 9:30 am CST
at the Boardroom of The St. Regis Houston Hotel, on the
Mezzanine Level, located at 1919 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston,
Texas, 77027.

The Mexico Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek long-term capital appreciation through investment in securities, primarily equity, listed on the Mexican Stock Exchanges. The Fund is focused on investing approximately 80% of its total assets in equity securities listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange.
