Fortum Power & Heat Ltd expands the utilization of Tekla Solution for district heating companies. The solution extension covers applications for operation management, web-map and SMS and email service for outage info.

Operation management application facilitates companies' customer service and internal flow of information. With the help of real-time monitoring of district heating distribution network the customer service receives up-to-date information on changes in the network. The application also makes it easier to plan outages and evaluate outage effects on district heating distribution network. Both the Internet map service and SMS and email service for outage info are efficient tools when informing customers and great public about outages in district heating distribution.

Software extensions will be implemented during fall 2013.

The benefits of Tekla Solutions for energy distribution include network lifecycle support and interoperability with other software solutions. The infrastructure and energy industry's growing interest towards Tekla's software solutions enables effective software development also in the future.
