In its endeavour to spread awareness on the importance of road safety, this year too Tata Power, India's largest integrated private power company, will be observing "Traffic Safety Week" at its Jojobera Thermal Power Station and Power House #6 in Jamshedpur.

 For past few years, Tata Power is observing "Traffic Safety Week" in the first week of January ie 1st to 7th January, giving utmost importance to traffic safety in daily life and kick-starting the new year with a motto to ensure road safety for its employees and stakeholders. Keeping up with this practice, this year too Tata Power will be holding workshops to highlight the traffic guidelines as well as two training sessions on First Aid which will be held in association with St. John Ambulance, Kolkata.

A poster competition has also been organized for the family members of Tata Power employees to increase awareness on road safety.Tata Power has also invited auto companies around its Jojobera plant to hold camps promoting safe driving habits among people and proper upkeep of two wheelers. Alongside, reflective stickers will also be distributed among cyclists and safety tips will be given to pedestrians.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. P. L. Manjrekar, General Manager, Jojobera Thermal Plant, Tata Power said, "Tata Power is committed to health and safety of its employees and stakeholders. The Company invests a large amount of resources to reduce workplace accidents and ensure a safe work environment. We have also been educating our employees and stakeholders on safety in daily lives  by creating such awareness programs on road and home safety."
