Talent2 Learning Awards Finalist 5 December 2011 Awarded Finalist for "Best Implementation of Blended Learning Solution" for Westpac Bankers @ Home

Talent2 has been recognised once again as a leader in the field of learning in this year's Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD) excellence awards. Talent2 was awarded as a finalist in the category of "Best Implementation of Blended Learning Solution".
Scott Wagstaff, General Manager of Talent Management Technology and Content, said, "I'm really proud of our achievement. It demonstrates the quality and skill we have within our team that enable us to be leaders in the field of learning and development. This is proof of how we deliver learning solutions to our clients, time and again that are world class. This is consistent with the feedback we receive from clients and then end users - the learners."
The keys to success of a blended learning program are:
» Ensure that it is truly integrated. Each learning initiative should have links to the others and build to form a cohesive program.
» Select and leverage the advantages of delivery method that best suits the portion of content. It is redundant to include a wide range of delivery methods just so that a program can be called blended. Be intentional and clear about how a particular delivery method enhances the learning experience.
» Make sure the program is inclusive. Whether someone is geographically remote, doing some of the learning activities on the job or completing self-paced components, it is important to ensure that learner is engaged and feels included in the program.
» The program needs to be clearly structured and explained. Learners need to know where they are going and what they need to do in a simple and uncomplicated manner.
» Include touch points where the learner can feel supported and share with peers.
