Synaptics Incorporated announced its Natural ID™ fingerprint sensors and ClearPad® touchscreen controllers are featured on the new ASUS ZenFone AR smartphone. The ZenFone AR is the first Google Tango enabled and Daydream-ready smartphone and built for augmented reality. ASUS selected Synaptics for its one-touch secure fingerprint authentication and high-performance touchscreen features. Synaptics® ClearPad® touchscreen controllers deliver high-performance multi-finger touch and innovative features such as grip and palm suppression, and low-power wake-up gestures. The controller also integrates Synaptics’ advanced analog touch-sensing circuitry and algorithms to address noise generated by displays that feature very high resolution, such as the 5.7-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display used in the ZenFone AR smartphone. Synaptics’ high-performance Natural ID™ fingerprint sensors are available with SentryPoint™ technology, offering OEMs a wide-range of unique and highly secure authentication features including match-in-sensor technology, Quantum Matcher™ with PurePrint™ anti-spoof technology, and SecureLink™ 256-bit AES with TLS 1.2 encryption.
